About this listen

This week the Instigator and the Yogi dig into a topic brought to us by a listener. This listener asked us to talk about what it's like to move through/past things, people, habits that no longer serve us. In true Pieces to Wellness fashion, this conversation gets messy and vulnerable - just the way we like it.

We talk about the challenges that arise when we're at a crossroads, when we have the opportunity to choose differently in service to our growth and well-being. That familiar comfort can be very tempting. However, sticking with what's comfortable is not conducive to our growth. We have to get uncomfortable to change, grow, evolve.

This may feel like cutting off a piece of yourself to be free. And sometimes freedom comes without closure. We don't always get closure on the past, yet most change is associated with grief. Particularly when what we're leaving behind is something or someone that's either been part of our life for an extended period of time, or made a potent impact in some other way. Grief is part of the process.

Tim and Karen also get vulnerable this week about trust. To us, trust means that words and actions match up. I'd wager this is because we've each had the experience of having our trust broken by people whose words and actions didn't match up. We hope that us sharing our experiences and perspectives on moving through grief, growth, and trust helps you make those hard choices a little easier. At least you'll know you're not alone.
