On the night of August 14, 2025, the town of Yucaipa, California stopped sleeping.

Helicopters filled the sky. Police lights cut through neighborhoods. An urgent alert echoed through the air—a seven-month-old baby, Emmanuel Haro, was missing.

In Part Two of the Emmanuel Haro case, we take you inside the frantic, emotional, and exhausting community-wide search that unfolded that night. • A Pattern of Silence: The Disappearance of Emmanuel Haro (Part 1)
    Jan 21 2026

    Send us a text

On an ordinary summer evening in Yucaipa, California, a frantic 911 call shattered the calm. A seven-month-old baby, Emmanuel Haro, had vanished from a Big 5 parking lot after his mother reported a sudden and violent attack. Helicopters filled the sky, neighbors flooded the streets, and law enforcement launched a desperate search for a missing infant.

But as the night unfolded, investigators began to realize this case did not begin in that parking lot.

In this episode of Murder By Nature, we unravel the disturbing history surrounding Emmanuel’s father, Jake Haro traveling back to 2018, when his ten-week-old daughter, Carolina Rose, was rushed to the hospital with catastrophic injuries no accident could explain. What doctors uncovered pointed to abuse, deception, and a pattern of violence that would permanently alter a child’s life.

From fractured ribs and traumatic brain injury to a controversial court sentence that left many questioning the justice system, this is a story about warning signs ignored, accountability denied, and the devastating consequences that followed.

This is Part One of the Emmanuel Haro case where the past collides with the present, and a missing child forces an entire community to confront a chilling truth.
