  • My Geek Culture Presents: Oztalgia – Tim Ferguson
    Jul 22 2020
Before hosting Unreal TV. Before Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush. Before The Doug Anthony All-Stars. Tim Ferguson is ‘the Boy from Blayney, NSW’, where it was the coldest place on earth (his words) who grew up learning about politics and war, ended up entertaining Australian and international audiences by acting ridiculous while staying handsome. That was under the one banner of the comedy trio The Doug Anthony All-Stars. We dive into our archives and find what was a ‘lost’ interview with Tim that was recorded at the time he was on the verge of releasing his memoir Carry A Big Stick, and was travelling to-and-from Australia and Canada. Out of all the things he was doing in his busy schedule, he managed to give more than five minutes of his precious time to talk about himself in a non-egotistical way. Good for him! www.mygeekculture.com.au

  • My Geek Culture Presents: Oztalgia – The Legacy Of Lucky Grills
    Apr 4 2017
Lucky Grills is mainly known for his work as Bluey and being satirised by The D-Generation as the beer drinking, chain-smoking and donut loving Bargearse. He has an extensive career, appearing in other TV shows and dedicating most of his time on the stand-up comedy circuit and releasing comedy albums. Marking the anniversary since his passing July 27 July 2007 at age 79, we talk to his daughter Shanra Grills about his stand-up career, rubbing shoulders with entertainment personalities, and his legacy. Plus fart jokes. Recorded in 2017. MyGeekCulture.com.au
