• #87 Brian Patton of Soilent Green
    Feb 24 2026

Originally a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, Brian Patton can recall his fascination with music watching musicians like Roy Clark and Jerry Reid on Hee-Haw. His childhood stints with piano and clarinet were interrupted and forever changed by KISS. Guitar took hold, as did Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and others. And this began Brian Patton's ascent to an otherworldly thrash metal legend. Beyond his origins, we delve into touring with GWAR and other bands, victories and tragedies out on the road, and the many iterations of band members over the years. Join us for a great show!

    Jan 24 2026

Jorge Pesantes (currently of The Dreadfields) dabbled in percussion and harmonica, but life repeatedly brought being being a vocalist to his doorstep. Drawing inspiration from life and grooves from the many bands in which he's been, his rhetoric has been light but his presence has always been loud. To the table, he's brought a different style each time, a cadence that complimented the band's work, and an energy on stage that pulls in the crowd. Join us as we reflect on his history and look ahead at his future in music.

  • #83 - Scott Frilot
    Oct 17 2025

Scott Frilot has been a great many number of things over the years. A guitarist and vocalist, true, but Scott’s also been a drum programmer, an advertising designer, and a booking agent. Driven by a recent viral digital advertising campaign, his new album, 45, has landed in a multitude of countries across the globe. He shares insight into the mechanics of that campaign here. Playing Jimmy’s Music Club in New Orleans is where he got his start. Along the way he was a sponge, soaking up the promoting and writing techniques of artists with whom he worked. Later, we also delve into paying his dues living in a van with band Tomatoes, as well as his time in bands Antix and Electric Swamp Gas.

We parse out the general attitude and shortcomings of the Louisiana music scene. We also take a look at the power of recording and engineering in the production process.
