Sleepaway Camp

Much better than the first time I saw it - decent gore, creative kills, good suspense and directing. But this movie hasn't survived all these years because of those things. It's the ending - what a shock of an ending. One of the greatest twist endings of all time because you don't see it coming. If you like movies like this you should enjoy it.

The Ranger

A decent slasher movie with a unique style and killer. Really enjoyed the music.

One of the better movies I have seen so far in 2021 and I am not just saying that. Acting, directing, suspense, gore, story, score, all of it works to make one of the more unique and interesting movies that I have watched. Plus, the creature effects are amazing - one of the best looking creatures that I have ever seen on screen. Loved it. Highly recommend this movie.

The Dark and the Wicked

Creepy. Scary. Intense. Suspenseful. Finally a scary movie that actually is scary. It's a classic old school slow burn ghost story and if you like those movies you will enjoy this one. Highly recommended.

The Cleansing Hour

Really enjoyed this movie and I might go as far as to say this was one of the better movies I have seen on Shudder. I enjoy movies like this, enjoy the ultimate battle of good and evil, and this excels at truly giving you a battle of dark versus light. Also thought, acting, directing, special effects, tension and suspense were great. A few complaints splashed throughout, but nothing that hurt the movie. Highly recommend if you like possession movies.

Haunt

Intense. Brutal. Terrifying. Edge of your seat suspense. A great horror movie from start to finish. Beautifully shot and directed, solid cast. Really liked this one. And that acoustic version of Dragula that rolled over the end credits - haunting and beautiful. Highly recommended.

The Slumber Party Massacre

As a Slasher Movie fan I thought I would enjoy this one more. It was boring at times, the effects weren't all that great except for the pizza man - that was a nice touch. The killer was also kind of boring compared to others in this genre. It wasn't a terrible movie, not unwatchable, but not one I would revisit often. Score was also decent.

Slumber Party Massacre II

Slightly better than the first. The killer was very unique and underused. Enjoyed seeing Crystal Bernard in an early role - Wings was and still is one of my favorite TV comedies. Overall the movie did enough to keep me watching and mostly entertained.

Sorority House Massacre

Better than expected but not one of the best Slasher movies I have seen.
