  • Nott So Aware #11: Dr. Jason - To Be Cuban, To Be Kind
    Apr 14 2025

This episode is a warm hug in audio form.

We are joined by only one of our best teachers on campus: Dr Jason! We are diving into all things Cuban, but most importantly, kindness. We know about Castro, Cuban cars, cigars, and coffee- but what about the values Cubans have as a society, the values that can change lives and actually make the world a better place?

Dr Jason Pandya-Wood is currently the Dean of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and teaches Policy & Persuasion. He is also the author of a groundbreaking book on kindness in policymaking: The Kindness Fix, published earlier this year.

Everyone who knows Dr. Jason knows this: he teaches with heart, believes in you before you believe in yourself, and makes you feel like you can take on the world.

Presented and Produced by Ruqayya Zuhair; Special Thanks to Jessica Tham for audio editing support and Nayli Nasran for production assistance.
