• Episode 10: Our Season End Self Evaluation
    Feb 21 2022

Well, here we are. Season 1 is almost over. It was fun starting this podcast. We had a lot of learning curves and we did manage to do a good job of consistently uploading for the first few weeks, then it all basically went to hell.

Next Season, we wanna incorporate more guests and people we can do interviews with. This season's not over yet but we still have some time before we have to post the final episode of that season.

This was a complete freestyle so there was no scripting no topic and we really let it all out. Sai and I spoke about a lot of things, particularly what I did wrong but hey you live and you learn. then we spoke about fights that were going on and finally we dove into other conversations. Sai and I have lots of common ground between the two of us so we can fight a little dirty but we kinda got it.

We love podcasting and we wish we could have more time to do it but as students, we don't really get a lot of time to do that so from now on starting Season 2, we will not have an upload schedule, we will notify you via IG that we have uploaded a new podcast.

Follow us on IG at oyotfpodcast.

    Thanks guys

  • Episode 9: What were we thinking!!!???
    Dec 25 2021

Seriously, the one time we have a plan we don't stick to it.

    HAHA. We're just kidding.

This is the FINAL episode of the year 2021. We wanna thank each and every one of you for listening, we really enjoy making these episodes but this episode was truly crazy, We spent some time literally talking about everything on the spectrum.

We spoke about inspirational people, Health Care and Health Insurance, the Commercial Side of Christmas as well as the Dynamics behind shopping habits during the holidays, China and Space Race, Elon Musk and SpaceX, and Artemis and how inflated it is due to the minute corruption that contractors make to inflate the price of products, we spoke again about the dynamics of the Tesla Semi and Lithium vs Aluminum Ion Batteries.

As you can see we spoke about a lot of things and it took a while to settle on one topic. My mic has had several issues so if you hear me cut out or Sai and Josh try and tell me they can't hear me that's what that is. We've been working on ways to resolve the issue so don't worry, we'll invest in some actual sound products in the future, it's also why the episode was late.

Guys, we urge you to use some discretion. we did curse and we didn't remove any curse words. We realize that cursing is bad and we do try to ask all of you to use some discretion when listening to the pod.

We wanna thank every one of you for the support you've given us over the last year. We hope to restart production of our next episodes in January and continue to produce episodes for this season till March where we will wrap Season 1 and head into Season 2.

  • Episode 8: 2021 recap
    Dec 23 2021

This was the penultimate episode of this year as we move on to the new year we decided to make it a tradition to review the year. Sai was unable to join us but Josh and I decided to continue anyway. This year a lot happened as well but a lot of it wasn’t bad. This year started out with everyone recovering from the devastation of the year before. COVID.

COVID had developed several times and by the end of the year had evolved twice. Then in March, the stock market went crazy, the Meme Stock Revolution had blown up several stocks, and meme coins make their owners very very wealthy proving the point that money markets have become furthermore decentralized. It also proved that the stock market has truly become more publicly influenced rather than privately controlled. April saw us come into existence with our first episode. May, June, and July had seen us also evolve as a podcast as we moved on as friends and business partners.

But it came as a cost as we lost a founding member in Doug, in September we lost another founder in Jon but gained Sai and Josh. And here we are now. With Delta and Omicron posing threats to us as COVID continues to rage on around the country and the world, we see that we can place faith in each other and around the world and the last two years have been a testament to that. With that, we say thank you for a wonderful year and we wish you all a Merry Christmas Eve and a happy holidays as we use the next episode to wrap up this year and move onto 2022. To all our listeners and to those who supported us through this time we say a big thank you.

  • Episode 7ish:The Lost Episode
    Nov 29 2021
Hey guys, Due to a technical error, we lost the audio for Episode 7, and since our episodes are unscripted and require a level of research we usually cannot replicate, we decided to make this mini-episode. We go into a summary of what we talked about and what we could potentially have added we also go into more detail about other things and issues including Charter School Educations and the significant difference. We did not mention names for the sake of defamation. We spoke about Elon Musk and the World's Richest and the Influence they have on the world and how we live in it. We talk about some other things and hope to get into more with all of you. Our next episodes will hopefully be more concise and far more interesting guys as we venture onwards. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onyourowntwofeet/support

  • Episode 6: What is a Sport?
    Oct 18 2021

In this episode, we introduced two new Hosts.

Josh, a relatively chill dude with tons of experience in Audio Editing and creative endeavors as our new Chief Creative Officer, Josh is also super into cars and modding them, he's also part of the LGBTQ community.

We also introduced Sai, who will be taking on our social media and outreach as time goes on, Sai is also our resident fight expert and sports buff.

In this episode, we discussed what should be a sport and why, as we dived in further we noted that most sports, especially in the last 10 years, have involved little to no physical stress. Hence, we introduced eSports as a so-called 'sport'.

We defined a sport as an activity that creates any level of mental or physical duress or effort for the reason of game or entertainment.

We also dived into Nascar, F1 Racing, Rally Car Driving, and other Motorsport to see if we could define that category as a true sport. We spoke a lot about this as it's important as the episode continues. We spoke a lot about the team and individual sports themselves and as a whole based on dynamics.

We then hit MMA, Wrestling and Boxing, compensation, and other things as well as Jake Paul and the revival of a sport, we then got into a heated discussion about Transgender Males fighting in female fights and how that needs to be corrected, and so forth.

We also spoke briefly about bum fights and we made our way into the NFL and the NBA as we discussed the player pay gap, the reasons why the WNBA is not as profitable for the NBA to demand this as of yet, We spoke about the Transgender NBA and how that type of league is developing and how over time it may be a reasonable ask.

We brought up Equestrian sports in that are they truly considered sports or they a game, which we defined as two different things and we did the same with Golf.

We want to emphasize this very clearly, at the OYOTF Podcast our team is completely supportive and seeks to ally the LGBTQIA+ Community as it keeps growing. We recognize that the very age of sports by tradition and as well as by gender and social norms allows us to seek a new way of looking at being human, but in sports, we recognize that gender is often looked at as being a one way street in some cases and you are classified to compete as the gender you are born as and not what you identify as. We at the OYOTF Podcast are committed to seeing a change over time and we recognize this.

We are all about Rainbow Pride and wish to do an episode in the future with some of you who have opinions on that.

Please follow us on Instagram @oyotfpodcast or find us on our discord server, OYOTF Rants.

We hope to see you on our server, but for now please enjoy this episode and comment if you liked it or if you have any other criticisms you'd like us to hear or suggestions you have about future episodes or would like to feature in one.

*So guys, during our six-week long break we decided to take more creative freedom in that now we needed to up the ante and remove our language barrier. We decided to allow cursing in moderation. In this episode, you will hear some beeps and some cursing so if you have a kid or are under the age of 15 we urge you to please listen with discretion.

  • Episode 5:The Lives of the Insanely Rich
    Sep 7 2021

In this episode, we explore the logistics as well as compare positive and negative opinions of the Insanely Rich, those who have money to burn.

Mark Zuckerburg, Bill Gates, Mackenzie Scott, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, and Elon Musk are all on our list of people we talk about. We speak about the positive aspects of Billionaires and Negative Aspects of them as well.

We dive into their expenses, their compensation, their sources of wealth, and other ways they make money. We dive into some of the biggest and most talked-about Billionaires. We dive into what we know and some researched facts and we also dive into some facts about security and transit as well as some things you may need to know.

We'd like to emphasize that you are entitled to your opinion the same we are entitled to ours, we realize that this has become a bit of a controversial topic. We understand that and we'd like to say that please tread these waters as we did, these billionaires are human they also possess the element of choice so for them it's a choice to do good as it is for us.

At the end of the episode, we mentioned at the end that we have a guest from Australia next week.

While we are still talking to them, we are debating creative differences, so it's a possibility that the guest might not come on at all, the time difference is also pretty long. We have decided that if the guest does not decide to move forward with our proposal, we will continue with the episode either with a host we are exploring to replace Doug with or on our own.

  • Episode 4: The Labyrinth that is Big Data.
    Aug 30 2021

Hey there, Jon is back finally as well as we can finally have a good conversation and we did about AI, Big Data, and Machine Learning. AI is prevalent in our lives and in every day activities from Shopping to taking you places and even driving cars.

AI is a strong tool as well as a high risk machine. Data has been leaked way too much and while companies are working on ways to stop that, it's safe to assume that one day, AI can do more than a human and learn faster than we can. It already does and will accelerate at leaps and bounds.

Jon and I sat down and spent about an hour talking and truly defining Big Data and AI at a fundamental as well as explanatory way, we urge you to be as safe and as we find new ways to interact AI will become a big part of human life, if you've ever used a computer there's a very big change you've engaged with these machines, AI can be a a tool used for good and bad reasons but the bad of AI outrule its potential.

We actually got one thing wrong: Akshith mentioned something about Apple using 128 bit encryption, it's not entirely incorrect, but Apple actually uses both 128 and 256 Bit Encryption.

We'd also like to make something clear, we do not support any one company, Apple, Tencent, Google, Facebook, in our eyes, they are all at an equal level, while that may not be financial, it is product wise in our opinion. AI helps every company that uses it in any way, whether its social media or if its through engaging with the website you are using, especially if it's e-commerce.

  • Episode 3: Who Am I and How Does Society Influence that?
    Jul 26 2021
This episode is going live to premiere the Deep Convos of the Podcast. In Today's world, we see a lot of things that influence the way we do things and that is especially true with everything that this generation has access to in terms of how social media, AI, and user platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These things are also not easy to ignore as they revolve around our daily lives. The guys of the Region 10 SSIO(Sathya Sai International Organization), have asked us if we can use our platform to discuss "Who am I?" We also added to that and discussed how social media influences that as well as the technologies that influence that. We are proud that this podcast turned out well and we are honored to have been able to help this organization as it is one of the world's most recognized Indian based humanitarian organizations as they have provided free healthcare, food, and water as well as education to millions around the world. We are also thankful to my normal co-hosts, Jon and Doug for stepping aside due to the number of guests and being so flexible as we dig into a very difficult topic as well as a more personal topic. Sai, Krishan, and Sriram were super kind and awesome to talk to as well as so flexible with the time, so I am thankful to them for everything and hope we can collaborate again. Thanks, Guys! Wanna know what music we used: Beginning: Vishnu- Patrick Patrikos Middle: Home- Vexento End: Let Her Go(Instrumental)- Passenger Thanks Once again to Region 10 of SSIO for making this happen!
