• Episode 83 - Pascagoula Aliens
    Jun 29 2026

The autumn of 1973 saw a wave of UFO sightings across the country, but especially in the south. While many of those sightings were mere lights in the sky, some were much more. One in particular stands out among the rest. On a warm October evening in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker were fishing on the Pascagoula River when they were interrupted by a strange light. At first, they thought the police had come to chase them off the run-down property. What followed would come to be known as the Pascagoula Incident and stands as one of the most widely publicized alien abduction stories since the Barney and Betty Hill story came out less than a decade before. Since then, several witnesses have come forward to corroborate Charlie and Calvin’s story including a local sheriff who secretly recorded the men and their tale.

  • Episode 82 - Good Chat with... Corey's Ghosts
    Jun 1 2026

In this wild episode, Heaven surprises Jonathan with a special guest: our friend Corey from the Good Chat with CW podcast. We’ve been on Corey’s podcast a few times, so it’s way past due that Corey come on Ope, A Ghost and tell us about his experiences at some of New England’s most famous haunted locations. Stay tuned for Paranormal News, and Heaven takes us on a visit to the Bull’s Head Inn in Cobleskill, New York where poltergeist activity abounds. Some say it’s the ghost of Mrs. Grace Steacy who was a staunch teetotaler. That might explain why most every bartender has a story to tell.

  • Episode 81 - Haunted Midwest
    Apr 27 2026

The Midwest hides its darkness well — tucked between cornfields, covered bridges, and quiet main streets. But if you know where to look, the past refuses to stay buried. In this week's episode, we venture deep into the heart of America to investigate two locations where history and horror walk hand in hand.

Our first stop is Billie Creek Village, a living history museum just outside Rockville, Indiana — home to over 30 historic buildings, three covered bridges, and more than a century's worth of untold stories. By day, it's a charming step back into 19th-century rural life. But when the lights go out and the tour groups leave, visitors and staff have reported flickering shadows, disembodied voices, and the unsettling feeling that the residents of Billie Creek never quite left. Then, we’ll head to Detroit to visit, and maybe dine, at the David Whitney House, simply known as The Whitney, a mansion-turned-restaurant. After we have a drink in the Ghost Bar, we’ll be on the lookout for the mysterious woman in the bathroom. The second floor is haunted by the ghosts of children who can be heard laughing and playing. No visit to the Whiteny would be complete without a visit to the carriage house where a table has been set up in deference to one of the Whitney daughters, Grace. On the rare occasion that Grace’s tea set has been relocated, the haunted activity increases. It’s best to leave Grace’s table alone.

  • Episode 80 - Aradale and Pennhurst
    Apr 13 2026

Do you hear that? That slow, rhythmic creak — is it a wheelchair finding its way down an empty corridor, or a gurney that’s been still for decades? Tonight, we're walking into two abandoned hospitals where the past refuses to stay quiet. First, we visit Aradale Lunatic Asylum in Victoria, Australia, where the case of one patient was so extraordinary that the state passed legislation specifically to confine him to its grounds. It seems even death couldn't change that. Then we cross the Pacific and the country to Pennhurst State School and Hospital in Pennsylvania — once called The Shame of Pennsylvania — where a 1968 exposé revealed conditions so disturbing that the public outcry eventually forced its closure. The suffering of the vulnerable leaves a mark. Pennhurst hasn't forgotten, and neither have we. Some places don't let go of their history. Come find out why.

  • Episode 79 - Haunted Road Trip: Atlanta
    Mar 30 2026

Once again, it’s time to pack up the Ope, A Ghost van and set out on another haunted road trip. This time, we’re heading to Atlanta, Georgia—but some roads are better left untraveled. Our stops in the ATL begin at the site of the deadliest hotel fire in American history where some victims remain, even if history has forgotten. We’ll wander through a park that may not be officially haunted, but it will definitely creep you out. Next, we’ll make our way to a historic mansion on Peachtree Street, where former residents—long since deceased—are said to send visitors fleeing. And what’s a haunted road trip without a cemetery? This one is steeped in restless energy, haunted by a group of Confederate soldiers and the distant, lingering echo of cannon fire. Then it’s off to an amusement park where the rides aren’t the only source of unease. Shadows move where they shouldn’t, and several corners of the park are said to be inhabited by specters from its earliest days. For our final stop, we’ll visit an open-air museum—a quiet collection of relocated buildings, each with its own past . . . and, some say, lingering occupants. So, grab your snacks and settle in; it’s going to be a long, spooky trip.

  • Episode 78 - Unrelated Ghosts 3
    Mar 16 2026

Some things go together so well they've come to define the concept of togetherness Peanut butter and jelly or Bonnie and Clyde come to mind, but this isn’t one of those times. In this episode, we explore two completely unrelated locations with only one thing in common: they're both haunted. First, we travel to St. Paul, Minnesota, where the elegant Forepaugh's Restaurant plays host to the spirit of Joseph Forepaugh himself, still wandering the dining room in formal attire. New brides, consider this your warning: keep an eye out for the ghost of Molly. We'll also stop at the Griggs Mansion, where as many as seven spirits have made the halls their permanent residence. Then we’ll travel to Moundsville, West Virginia to Sanford Elementary School where the former principal, and the school's namesake, never quite left the building. Next, we’ll visit the Archive of the Afterlife, which houses what can only be described as a collection of the deeply unsettling: among its exhibits, the haunted portrait of Annie Ledger and the electrocution cap from Old Sparky, the electric chair at Moundsville State Prison. Two towns. No connection. No shortage of things that go bump in the night.

    Feb 16 2026

Welcome to another classic haunted house story. In this episode, we recount the experience of Cindy Sarro and her home in Caseyville, Illinois, where a dark presence began to assert itself, driving her from the house in just two months. Then we travel to south-central Indiana and the historic Whispers Estate. There’s a lot of legend surrounding the former doctor’s office and home of Dr. John Gibbons and his family. Visitors report unexplained footsteps, physical scratches, and a looming shadow figure known simply as Big Black. Listen closely—some houses don’t stay quiet.
