The OMFG crew (Original Montana Film Guide) took a little sabbatical from happiness this week to visit Fat City — a film about addiction to time, chemicals, lost dreams, bad apartments, strange tenderness, and loving the end of the world anyway.

God doesn’t really live in Fat City. What you get instead is fleeting grace: late-night diners, washed-up fighters, cheap bars, and the quiet dignity of one broken person helping another survive the night. Maybe that’s enough.
