About this listen
"Osoyegbon means 'I am not a slave.' It’s the name Gloria Patrick was born with – and the defiance etched into her bones.
Trafficked to the UK from Nigeria with the promise of a better life, Gloria faced sexual exploitation, physical, emotional, and psychological abuse before finding sanctuary in a safe house.
Based on Gloria’s lived experience, Osoyegbon is an audio engagement project for young people that explores sexual abuse, modern slavery and mental health.
Commissioned and produced by Fuel.
