Babesburgh Executive Director, Cat Bruno, stops in to talk about the upcoming Babesburgh Bash

Favorite childhood books for the women include a range of topics from puppies to wizards... to an ogre that eats children. Joined by the Executive Director of the Allegheny County Conservation District, Heather Manzo, the ladies talk confidence and understanding that it is okay to feel uncomfortable. The women also discuss because human bodies share many similarities with Earth, we need to treat our planet the same way we treat ourselves. Heather also sheds light on leadership practices and why it is important to uplift everyone on your team.

Joined by Terina J. Hicks, owner and Chief Baker Officer of Cobbler World, the women discuss their dream travel destinations if time and money were no obstacle. Locations were pinned all over the map, from Australia to 80s Oregon, when the film “Goonies” was being filmed. The ladies also talk with Hicks about her having been recently widowed, the grief process she experienced, and her new non-profit venture, A Widow’s Journey.

Coffee, margaritas, and coconut water: some of the few luxuries the ladies cannot live without. Do you really get over everything being perfect as you mature? The women talk perfectionism in careers, social media and personal lives. Sarah questions whether “perfect” is really a thing, and Rachael discusses how it does not fit into practical reality. Kristy also shouts out her favorite dive bar and how they drive community conversation.

Is it okay to get a bra in your Easter basket? The ladies discuss things that made them smile in the last week, from kids doing silly things to reminiscing on childhood memories. The Magnolia Bowl poses a question about why bras SUCK, leading to a conversation about the patriarchal history behind them. Kristy, Rachael and DJ Femi also shout out Pittsburgh women doing great things to check out this Women’s History Month!

The ladies are joined by former Dessert Wars Pittsburgh champion and small-business owner, Hannah Olsen, to discuss music artists they wish they could see in concert. One of the ladies reveals that she had the opportunity to go on stage with Prince. The women also discuss all-things social media, from engaging with negative conversations to getting mom advice. The women also highlight Olsen's businesses, Aycho Melange Macarons, Batches Bakehouse, and her newest endeavor, The Baked Bean.

Happy Galentine’s Day! The ladies discuss the origin of Galentine’s Day, whether it came from women wanting to celebrate female friendship before romantic partnerships, or Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation. In celebration of the day, the women talk being a mom, a.k.a. the default parent, and how to balance work life with home life.
