  • PIXEL NARRATIVES WITH ANUTOSH EPISODE 40: ABHILASH DUTTA
    Dec 17 2025

“I started my musical journey from my school days — it has been a part of my life since childhood. Many of my family members come from a musical background, which deeply inspired me to follow the same path. My aunty, Karabi Dutta, was a great vocalist of her time, and my father’s elder brother was the first guitarist from Golaghat. Growing up around them, I developed a strong interest in music and instruments. When I began learning a bit about instruments, my curiosity only grew stronger. I took my first piano lessons in Bokakhat under the guidance of my teacher Ankur Devnath Sir. That marked the beginning of my musical career. After completing my HSLC, I moved to Jorhat for higher secondary studies, where I met several friends who were also musically inclined. Their support helped me grow even more in my music journey.Following my HS, I shifted to Guwahati to pursue further studies in music production. I took admission at Auditek Studio, where I had the privilege to learn under our much respected (Late) Bhupen Uzir Sir. He guided me, shared invaluable knowledge, and shaped my path in music. My first song “Tupal” was released in 2020, which opened many doors for me. Since then, I have composed and produced music for various songs, music videos, and documentary films. Some of our documentaries have even won national and international awards.I also had the wonderful opportunity to work on two Bollywood songs under the guidance of Hopun Saikia Da, for which I am always deeply grateful. In my musical composition and production journey, my biggest idol and inspiration is one of Bollywood’s finest composers — Anurag Saikia Da. His work constantly motivates and inspires me to keep learning and growing. This is the story of my musical journey — a journey filled with passion, dedication, and endless learning”.- ABHILASH DUTTAFirst song released in 2020 name -TupalTumar hahiBhalpuwa kimanPriyotomaTezighuraFaguni PoroxAkoluwa ObhipraiBixaadRangrasiyaaNixar XewaliDocumentary films-Dead bird on the wireHundred Thousand of dreamsShort films -Priyotoma The Backbenchers ABOUT THE PODCAST: Videos on Art Education, Photography, Travelogue and Photostory.
