  • Episode 14: Mockingjay Part 2: A Pro-War Podcast
    May 20 2026

We're finally at the end of our Hunger Games series, closing out with Mockingjay Part 2, once again joined by guest critic Addie. The war is well underway here at the end as we debate the merits of Katniss's moral stance, the dangling threads of a YA love triangle that's been wearing out its welcome, and an ending that's as bittersweet now as it was back in 2015. We appreciate all of you listeners who have sat through this series with us, and hope to see you in the next one! In the meantime, remember who the real enemy is, and keep up the good fight.

  • Episode 13: Mockingjay Part 1 - Escape from the Atlanta Marriott
    May 6 2026

We're nearing the end of our Hunger Games series where we dive deep underground to District 13, and even deeper into Katniss's growing trauma. Ashley and Garrett are joined once more by guest critic Addie, as we follow Katniss's journey to become the Mockingjay whether she wants to or not. Much like we had to suffer through Liam Hemsworth's acting to bring you this episode.

  • Episode 12: Catching Fire - Yearnin' for You
    Apr 22 2026

We pick up our Hunger Games series with the second movie, where Katniss isn't just catching fire, but feelings too. Guest critic Addie joins Ashley and Garrett once again as new tributes enter the arena - many of them veterans of stage and screen here to help steal the show. The stakes are higher than ever as President Snow runs it back on Katniss. Good thing this is just a movie, and Presidents don't come back in a sequel and do the same thing but worse, right?

...anyway, they get a good smooch in this one, that's nice at least.

  • Episode 11: The Hunger Games Part 2 - Death of the Fandom
    Apr 8 2026

We continue with the second half of the first Hunger Games movie - and judging by some of these takes, that girl isn't the only thing on fire. Will Addie successfully defend the fandom from being cringe? How many more passages from the book is Ashley going to read? Is Garrett actually starting to like this movie? All this and more in this conlusion to the first in a series with plenty more to come.

  • Episode 10: The Hunger Games Part 1 - Teenage Dirtbag
    Apr 8 2026

At long last we're back on the air, joined by our friend and guest critic Addie to talk about the 2010s teen dystopian sensation: The Hunger Games! This super-sized episode has been split into two halves because as millenials, we couldn't help but want to keep party rocking back to 2012. We've come back big with this series so strap in as we dive deep over the next few weeks into the trauma, terror, and regular old teen angst that dominates this touchstone that defined a generation.

  • Episode 9: Armageddon - You Got Soft Hands, Boy
    Aug 14 2024

In the last of our '90s Disaster series, a new critic joins the cast! Mitchell - Garrett's brother and Michael Bay aficionado - joins us to talk 1998's Armageddon. It's the end of the world - and this series - as we know it, going out with a literal bang as Bruce Willis and the boys blast off to drill an asteroid before time runs out. Guns in space, animal crackers, Aerosmith - trust us, you don't want to miss a thing in this episode.

  • Episode 8: Dante's Peak - Pretty Privilege Pierce
    Jul 31 2024

We're just ERUPTING with lava-hot takes as we continue our journey through our '90s Disaster series with a ~heated~ look at 1997's Dante's Peak. Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton star as a very competent scientist and a very incompetent mayor - whose stirring and not-at-all forced romance is interrupted by that gosh darn volcano right down the street - and it would have gotten away with it too! If it weren't for that meddling Pierce knowing how to solve every problem ever- and looking way too good doing it.
