Wayne Self is an award-winning playwright, composer, and music director with deep spiritual and historical roots in rural Louisiana. His 2013 play, Upstairs--the first staged work of any kind about the deadly 1973 arson fire at a New Orleans gay bar--premiered to a sold-out run and national press coverage, and was hailed as a "force of nature" by Theatremania. His current play, The Foursight Saga, was a grand prize winner in the Hollywood-based New Musicals Inc Search for New Musicals and will be produced via livestream this August. If this weren’t enough, his comic book, Secrets of Bayou Sha, is coming to digital platforms this summer.
