About this listen
Take a closer look at how prevalent low-wage labor, which I define as all labor compensated at less than $17 an hour, is in the US. As a system, we require tens of millions of jobs that pay these wages or less. We must advocate on behalf of those that are in these positions to get more assistance from government programs, and for a federal minimum wage that allows people to work 40+ hours a week and know they will survive.
In this episode I take a look at how other countries handle the poor, and why the US should aim to be a spearhead of comfortable and safe conditions of employment, housing, healthcare, food, education, and more!
Remember, when you check out of politics, the billionaires who rely on us not voting them out of power win. Please drop a follow if you enjoyed or consider sharing this episode with a friend or a family member, thank you!
