Fall Got a Way is our honest, cozy, sometimes-chaotic check-in on life as the empty nest starts to feel real. Remember that “Empty Nest List” we made to keep ourselves busy after drop-off? Well… it’s getting longer. In this episode, we check off a few big ones — like seeing Somebody Feed Phil live and somehow add even more, including “buy a boat.” What could go wrong? (Spoiler: a missing boat key… in the middle of the ocean.) And just when we thought we were done making big changes, life had a few surprises of its own.

After the long goodbye at college drop-off, we headed straight to New York City for a few days of fun, food, and distraction. On the way home, the reality of the empty nest started to sink in—so we turned to something we’ve been building all year: our Empty Nest List.
