Now don’t get it twisted — we were entertained …but did it go HARDER than the first one?
…we gotta talk about it.
We’re diving into:
• A sequel that should’ve gone bigger… but kinda stayed in the same house • Samara Weaving still fighting for her LIFE (and making choices we side-eye HEAVY )• Sarah Michelle Gellar pulling up like she about to activate Buffy mode… and then NOT doing it • And Elijah Wood sliding in with that “evil lawyer / devil energy” like… sir… how did YOU even get here??
And listen…
We gotta address the REAL issues:
Why is nobody double-tapping ANYBODY?? Why are we making survival decisions like we WANT to die?? And WHY… after everything… are we STILL wearing the same bloody dress???
I’m talking:
This movie had moments where we were like:
“OH THIS ABOUT TO GO CRAZY—”
…and then…
“…wait… that’s it?”
BUT — we’ll give credit where it’s due:
Final verdict:
when you say “Part 2”…
IS IT WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING: Bigger? Wilder? MORE unhinged energy?!
WE BREAK IT ALL DOWN:
• What worked (and what absolutely did NOT)• The plot holes you can drive a truck through • The characters we loved… and the ones we were ready to eliminate ourselves • And the moment that had us like: “WHO EVEN ARE YOU??”
Bottom line:
If you liked the first one?You’ll rock with it.
If you wanted something bigger and crazier?
