Adult Child of an Alcoholic

I grew up in an unstable home so I learned insecurity, anxiety, and fear --my emotional blocks, & had no idea of who I was. My parents were physically there but not emotionally present.

College Drop Out

I only went to college right after High School because it was expected of me and I didn't know what else to do. I failed out of college. My emotional blocks & a not so healthy relationship were big contributors.

Unhealthy Marriage

I married that man from college; another decision based on my not knowing what else to do. We had ups and difficult downs and drama; the latter becoming the norm. I stayed in that for almost 30 years.

Unequally Yoked

When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior, we were 15 years into marriage; and my husband was not a Christian then or later. He could not share in or understand the depth of my relationship with Christ. In our already troubled marriage, this added a complex and complicated challenge.

Licensed Trauma Therapist

For over 10 years, I was a Licensed Therapist with a focus on trauma. I devoted myself to 100s of hours with clients, intensive & advanced post-master's degree education, and training new therapists. I gave it up to reach even more hurting women as a Coach, Speaker, & Writer.

My guest Natasha, who lives in Las Vegas, told her story, from being in jail for petty crimes to her bad experience with infertility. She went through several miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. Being widowed and now having her own business.

Natasha's parents were together for over 40 years but struggled with poverty, and the mental trauma they went through, overspilled into her life, moving from Denver, Colorado, to Vegas. Natasha hung around the wrong crowd on the streets and dealt with abuse.
