While I was living in Texas, my life became a cycle of crisis after crisis. Eventually, it led me somewhere I never imagined I’d be - a mental hospital for suicidal ideation. I was ashamed. Ashamed that life had brought me there. Ashamed of what people might think. Ashamed to even put words to what I was experiencing. I thought that if anyone really knew my story, they would judge me. So, I stayed silent, even when I was breaking inside. But God. And when I say but God, I mean everything changed. God showed up strong and mighty.

He met me in that place with a word…a revelation that didn’t just comfort me. It set me free!! The Siamese twin, the spirit that had been attached to me, was gone. Completely gone!! And I sang a new song. A song of freedom. The chains that once held me fell off. The person I used to be no longer existed. This is not my strength. This is not my doing.
