Last episode, the coterie was suddenly woken up by great danger. Their beasts was restless of something and it caused them to awaken from their torpor. Nora talked to Maxi before moving away to do their bidding. Though peeking from their room, they see Eight talking to Nora. After confronting Eight and her leaving, the coterie had a talk regarding Eight and how to deal with her.

Maxi ended up being kidnapped by Nine to a covert meeting. Charley ended up being dragged away by his adversary Doodlebug and Delilah ended up being dragged away by Second Inquisition agents. Leaving Gen behind with Eight who made their worst nightmare come true.

And this is where we continue our story with Gen wandering further into the CBD's The Gap aimlessly until they smell something familiar.

It's the smell of blood and weed.

It was revealed that Delilah was part of the Second Inquisition before her embrace. Unfortunately, this information exchange was cut short when one Agent took a shot of Delilah who managed to dodge with her new vampiric celerity. Gen, who have now finished their drink and is now frantically searching for Delilah, heard the shout. With their gangrel speed, they burst into the tiny bar and tackled the agent with the gun. After a scuffle, both of them escaped via the rental car. They decided to ditch the car and walk the rest of the way to the airport.

Meanwhile, Maxi finally had a chance to talk with Charley. After their sincere conversation, Maxi revealed a collection of books hidden away in their haven. Leaving Charley to peruse it while they continue making phone calls regarding the mines.

Afterwards, Gen and Delilah finally arrived home and told the fact that the SI is now on the hunt for them. Maxi ended up calling Eight to help cover up this masquerade breach.

As they all prepared for day sleep, we see a glimpse of vulnerability from each of them as they finally open up to one another about their worries.

Last episode, we found our Coterie preparing for their departure to the heart of Australia. We found out a hint regarding our dear Delilah's past and saw a glimpse of how Charley and Gen lived. Afterwards, we followed the coterie to Maxi's private jet/converted haven and we finally fly to the red centre of Australia.

Upon landing, the coterie found more news regarding the crashed plane and with an extraordinary researching skills, Gen found an important clue as to who crashed it. A Lasombra who was caught on video. Anybody who knows what to look for will immediately spot a Lasombra and Gen was no exemption. They shared the information to the others and Charley finally revealed what he saw when he drank the vial of blood. A child who spoke of a foreign language asked for help but without more information, Charley Knox was unable to help. Delilah was able to foresee a vision of three individuals in a salt mine.

The coterie finally found a direction to head towards but before that, they partook in quenching their thirsts. And this is where we will resume our story, with Delilah and Gen finally heading into the city of Alice Springs while Maxi makes some calls regarding salt mines and Charley catching up on some reading.
