• Episode 8: "Echoes from the Cabin"- Inside the 17 year long hunt for the UNABOMBER with former FBI Agent George Clow
    Feb 3 2026

In this episode, we step inside one of the longest and most complex manhunts in modern American history. Beginning in 1978, a man the country came to know only as the Unabomber terrorized universities and airlines with a series of mail and hand‑delivered bombs. Sixteen devices. Three people killed. Twenty‑three more injured. And for a long time, nearly 16 years, very few usable clues or leads. We welcome to Red Lodge - the Podcast, retired FBI agent George Clow, who spent several years as one of the lead investigators on the Unabomber case. He worked inside the pressure, the dead ends, and the tiny breakthroughs that eventually led from an anonymous manifesto in 1995, to an arrest a little over year later in a remote cabin in the woods just outside the small mountain town of Lincoln, Montana. In this conversation, George takes us behind the scenes and gives insight as to how the case really unfolded, what it demanded of the people chasing it, and the triumphant moments of finally bringing a fugitive justice.
