    Rev. Tonya Parker, MEd, EdS is the Founder and Creatrix of Mind Body & Soul Food, a holistic wellness and conscious healing practice devoted to nourishing women’s lives from the inside out. With more than three decades of experience as a psychotherapist, educator, healer, and spiritual teacher, Tonya bridges ancestral wisdom and modern restorative practices to support deep, sustainable well-being.

    Through offerings rooted in mind, body, soul, and food, she creates sacred spaces for restoration, self-remembrance, and embodied leadership. Her work integrates Reiki, meditation, retreats, mindful nourishment, reflective writing, and community-based healing, inviting women to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with their truth.

Then we explore Taurus season, as fixed earth energy ruled by Venus, emphasizing grounding, sensual presence, stability, self-worth, and financial responsibility. And of course, we look at the month’s numerology and oracle theme: the Teachings card (number 5), highlighting awareness, practice, and expanding into the awareness of being one with All there is.

    May 1st: Beltane and a Full Moon in Scorpio, shadow work and deep transformation
    May 6th –Oct 15th: Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, focusing on inner transformation, innovation, and community

    Susan Stone is an Artist, Author, Reiki Master, Intuitive Healer/Counselor, Ordained Minister, and Initiated Shamanic Practitioner After a massive heat stroke in 2013, Susan had to give up her career as a professional gardener and reinvented herself as an entrepreneur. Starting her first brick and mortar business in 2017 when she opened ZenDen…a metaphysical, crystal, sage, and gift store.

    After selling ZenDen at the end of 2022, Susan needed a quiet place to paint and to finish her next book. And true to her nature…within six months, The Arts was born! It celebrates all the arts - the creative, the music, the healing and the mystic arts. Today I interview Susan Stone, a contributor to the book “Reiki Heart and Soul: Many Stories, One Bright Light,” about her path from decades of addiction and trauma to sobriety and healing through Reiki. Susan recounts a 1988 car accident that left her with compound-fractured ribs and years of untreated injury, leading to nine years on narcotics and worsening health, and describes how entering AA in 1997 and meeting her sponsor Holly led her to Reiki.

    After sessions with Reiki practitioner, Elaine Roy, Susan took a deep breath for the first time in nine years and found her ribs visibly back in place. She discusses later experiences including being struck by lightning in 2010, a quantum healing session that restored her vision, her work with “heavenly helpers” during sessions, and her community offerings through The Arts Port Royal, free Reiki clinics, animal Reiki, and Reiki training for children, along with her books “We Heard You” and “The Magical Nature of Humans.”
