  • Why does my dog listen to my partner and not me?
    Oct 8 2022

In this episode, I chat with dog trainer and behaviourist Anthony De Marinis about why our dogs behave differently with different people.

I asked Anthony to join me for this episode because I noticed that my dog, Rosa, has been behaving very differently when on walks with me versus when she’s with my husband.

Anthony explains why this happens and why some dogs can display aggressive behaviour when out with one person and not another. We discuss what we can do to address this and some mistakes most of us don’t even realise we’re making.

As always, I hope you enjoy this episode!

  • If Your Rescue Dog Stressing You Out?
    Feb 15 2022

In this episode, I want to have a chat with you about how YOU feel. We talk about settling your rescue dog on this podcast a lot. It's what it’s all about. But now that I’ve had my dog Rosa for 8 months, I realise the importance of talking about our emotions as humans.
Once your rescue dog has settled in, you're probably going to start seeing some behaviour changes and not all of them are easy to manage without professional help. And some behaviours can be really stressful for us as the humans in the relationship.
So in this short episode, we talk about what to do if you're feeling emotionally overwhelmed.

If you ever need to chat, feel free to reach out to me via email nihal@rescuetails.co or on Instagram @nihal_and_rosa.
