    A father’s curse or blessing is held in the highest regard because it is often directly from God. We can see this very evidently in Jacob’s life itself when he took over the blessing from his brother. So the Levites are doomed forever according to the curse given to the father of the tribe, Levi. But their fate is changed by their act of zeal and loyalty to God which makes them stand out from the crowd and makes God choose their tribe for a glorious job in the sanctuary of the Lord.
