  • Chapter 8: Truth and Tragedy
    Jan 2 2026

Chapter 8 pulls the party out of Daggerford under the shadow of their “conditional freedom,” with the Super Captain’s unsettling presence still crawling under their skin. A quick prank on a sleeping Tampanis turns laughter into a thin mask for dread—especially when Isa receives a secret summons and finds herself alone at Rutabaga’s table, forced to swallow both his meal and his intentions. The next morning the hunt begins in earnest as the party follows the river road toward Stillwater and the abandoned mines, only for the wilderness to answer first: a chained cart, captive travelers, and an orc called Gobrippa wielding far more than brute strength. What starts as a rescue becomes a brutal, chaotic fight against a shimmering shield and enslaved owlbears, ending in fire, sacrifice, and silence—until the forest itself arrives, antlers crowned in blossoms, to demand a price for the life the party just lost.

  • Chapter 7: Captain My Captain
    Dec 1 2025

    Chapter 7: Captain My Captain
The party finds themselves trapped within the walls of Daggerford, hunted by suspicion and bound by the Super Captain’s impossible charisma. As they scramble to clear their names after the tavern explosion, they descend into the unsettling heart of the ducal castle, where Nathanial Rutabaga III—hero, icon, and something far stranger toys their minds and with one of Walter’s delayed-blast orbs.

The chilling realization that Rutabaga knew exactly who they were, how to bend them to his will. Bound by his ultimatum to slay the terrorizing manticore or never leave Daggerford alive, the party leaves the castle shaken, suspicious, and haunted by whispers that slithered through Leopold’s mind. He can't help but sense it shouldn't have been so easy.

And somewhere beyond the northern gate, Tampanis follows a butterfly deeper into the wilds… and closer to danger than the rest yet know.

  • Chapter 6: The Flight of the Butterfly
    Jul 30 2025

In Chapter 6, our band of adventurers follows the hag’scryptic shortcut past a moonlit waterfall—only to find themselves stalked by hidden magics and their own doubts. Leopold’s cold strategy clashes with Zeth’s noble pride. Tampanis’s proclivity for alcohol leads to a hallucinatory vision of his ancestral spirit. Meanwhile, Sylvester’s arrows earn the party ancient boons from a colossal spirit‐stag named Longwinded.

As they emerge into Daggerford’s bustling gates, the roadgrows crowded with suspicious Vistani tents and black-robed kobold cultists preaching their draconic god’s return. A brush with fanaticism turns explosive when Eisa’s delayed fireball demo goes wildly off-script, razing part of the Happy Cow Tavern and landing the party under guard until the truth can be unearthed.

Equal parts camaraderie and calamity, Chapter 6 sweeps from ethereal visions of butterfly-lit transformation to the clang of city watch steel—setting the stage for darker forces at play and testing the fragile bonds of friendship under magic’s unpredictable glow.
