  • feedback is not an attack!
    Mar 13 2025

I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but getting critique on your work and being punched in the face are not one in the same (I need to hear this). This week I'm chatting about my journey with learning how to take feedback a little less personally and using it as a tool for growth in my creative journey. As creatives, we can be very sensitive when it comes to our work because it is so personal. But recognizing that feedback is vital to our process can be a game changer. An even bigger game changer is filtering the voices you allow to have an impact on your process. ✨

  • a creative's journey with self sabotage & self doubt
    Mar 7 2025

At the top of the year, I had this insane creative rut where I completely doubted any and all of my creative gifts and abilities. It was less of a rut that felt like I had no ideas left to share, and more of a rut that lead to inaction, not putting myself out there and ultimately self-sabotaging my creative journey. It lead to creating things I was proud of, but not putting it out there because I was fearful. It lead to a lot of brainstorms, but no foot forward to see them come to light.

Today I talk through some breakthroughs I recently had that I feel like might change the trajectory of my creative journey this year. While I'm still navigating this self-doubt and that fear of rejection and vulnerability in sharing my work, I feel like I am making strides through this rut.

Enjoy today's episode as I kinda babble through so many thoughts that have been swimming in my head since the start of the year. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and subscribe to the Substack! Have a great week!!! ⭐️

  • low maintenance friendships are not the answer
    Feb 25 2025

I saw a stream of TikToks a few months ago where there seemed to be this idea that the best kind of friendships are the ones that take the least amount of "effort" (the effort being...catching up and investing in your friends' lives). I am here today to say that is NOT the way, and that friendship, as messy as it is, takes sacrifice. There is so much joy to be found in friendships that require a bit of effort to maintain the relationship. Join me for today's episode where I talk through what I've learned thus far in life about friendship, and why it's actually really cool to care deeply about your friends. 🫂
