  • Eyes on the Master, Not the Waves
    Dec 18 2025

Storms are not always signs of absence, sometimes, they are classrooms.

In this episode of SSA, we journey through Matthew 8:23–27 and Matthew 14:22–33, reflecting on two powerful moments where the disciples encountered storms, one with Jesus sleeping in the boat and another with Jesus walking on the water. Though the scenes were different, the message was the same " where your focus is determines what you experience".

God reveals to us that the boat represents our journey with Him. While we remain in that place of fellowship, obedience, and trust, there is direction, even in the storm. But the moment we take our eyes off Christ, like Peter did, we begin to sink. Yet the beauty of grace is this: when we fall out of the boat and return again, when we refocus and draw near to Jesus, we encounter a peace that cannot be explained, an unfathomable joy and love.

Scripture tells us that when Jesus and Peter got back into the boat, the wind ceased and there was calm. That calm was not just external, it was spiritual, emotional, and deeply personal. It reminds us that true peace is found not in the absence of storms, but in the presence of Christ.

We also explore how the enemy brings storms to distract and derail us, and how God, in His wisdom, sometimes allows storms so we can understand His voice, His power, and His heart in ways comfort never could.

So no matter what the enemy strategizes, the call remains clear:

Fix your eyes on Jesus. Stay in the boat. Return quickly when you fall, because when our focus is on Christ, the storm loses its authority.

  • Leaning Into God: Beyond Seasons, Beyond Situations
    Dec 10 2025

In this episode of SSA, we dived deep into what it truly means to fully depend on God, not only in challenging and uncertain moments, but in the ordinary, quiet, everyday details of life.

Using scriptures like Proverbs 3:5–6, Isaiah 30:1–3 (the warning to Israel about trusting Pharoah and Egypt), James 1:5, and Psalm 25, we explored how God calls His children to lean on Him completely for direction, clarity, protection, and guidance.

We talked about the danger of relying on human strength, shortcuts, and “Egypt-like” alternatives, and the peace that comes when we choose God as our first resort, not our last.

We also discussed how prayer isn’t limited to a time slot or ritual, it’s a continual conversation with our Father, the One who is intentional about even the smallest areas of our lives. Just like a child depends on a parent for everything, God invites us to depend on Him with the same trust, the same vulnerability, and the same confidence.

This episode is a reminder, a call, and a gentle warning to us children of God to lean fully on God in the good, in the bad, and in everything in between.

  • Chasing Wisdom Like Treasure: Lessons from Proverbs 2:3-5
    Sep 5 2025

In this episode of SSA, I share what the Holy Spirit taught me from Proverbs 2:3–5. God’s invitation for us to seek His wisdom and understanding as if we are searching for hidden treasures. Just like a treasure hunter leaves no stone unturned, we are called to pursue God with earnest desire, not just for His hand but for His face.

Together, we’ll explore how the pursuit of wisdom deepens our intimacy with Him, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). In a world filled with distractions, this is a call to actively nurture our spiritual lives by feeding our spirit through prayer, fasting, the Word, and daily surrender.

If anyone has been longing for a deeper relationship with God, this is a reminder to dig deeper, stay curious about Him, and let your pursuit of wisdom lead you closer to His heart.
