Faith Over Fear: Moving Alone & Finding God in the Unknown

In this powerful episode, I open up about the leap of faith I took in 2020 when I moved to New York alone during a pandemic. From career-driven decisions and divine nudges to navigating loneliness, culture shock, and spiritual drought—this is a raw, real look at what it means to follow God into the unknown.

    You’ll hear:

    • Why I moved and how prayer confirmed the call
    • The fear, isolation, and homesickness I faced—and how faith anchored me
    • The struggle to find a church home and build community from scratch
    • Unexpected blessings that only God could orchestrate
    • How I found healing through therapy, solo dates, journaling, and fitness
    • The evolution of my relationship with Christ and my personal growth
    • Why NY now feels like home and the advice I’d give anyone considering a big move

If you’ve ever felt afraid to step into the unknown, this episode will remind you: God goes before you—and what’s waiting on the other side of fear just might change your life.

    SUNSETTING MY 20s

Every next level of your life will demand a different

    version of you.

If you want to be good, you really don't have a lot of choices because it takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful

"You know who's gonna give you everything? Yourself."

YOU DON'T GET TO GREATNESS BY BEING COMFORTABLE

    The deepest level of worship

is praising God through the pain, thanking God through the trials, trusting Him when we're tempted to lose hope, and loving Him, even when He seems distant.

At my lowest, God is my hope.

At my darkest, God is my light At my weakest, God is my strength.

At my saddest, God is my comforter.

God trusts me with this journey. He knows I can handle it.

    • Setting boundaries
      • Relationship with my mom
        • I used to tell my mom and dad EVERYTHING.
        • But that back fired and left my family and friends with their own opinions about my partners
          • Keep people out of your relationship
          • Someone’s response to your boundary is not your responsibility
      • Stand firm on your boundaries
        • It’s self care. It’s self love.
        • Those who love you will respect it. That’s not to say the beginning won’t be muddy. It’s going to suck a little but eventually the ones who matter will understand and won’t leave because of it.
    • MY healing journey
      • Started and ended the year with people who were complete opposites
      • Poker face with work still happening, life still life-ing and dealing with my personal life. Literally one day at a time
      • Finding grace and peace in the healing process
      • Allowing myself to feel every feeling to truly heal
      • Bought a journal just to write out my thoughts as my release to process what I was feeling
      • Understanding why it happened and also understanding sometimes people think they are healed but truly deep down there are things they haven’t fully come to terms with which shows in their actions
        • Hurt people hurt people
        • We’re all finding ourselves and navigating as best as we can
    • Opening KIDSTRONG
      • Transitioning from OTF and going into a new business with a new role at the same time
        • Having melt downs and break downs
        • My dad telling me “as a business owner, every day is not going to be a good day. That’s why we appreciate the good days more when we have the trying days”
      • Digging deep to find the new version of myself to elevate
      • Trusting God with this process and what he’s put on my plate
        • We were supposed open on one date, the parts to the equipment were out of stock on Amazon. All out of our control but our date got moved back another two weeks.
        • All I could do was cry and started to question God.
      • Remaining grateful through it all
      • Having a support system is everything!!!!!!
