About this listen
Sam Holness is a 29-year-old triathlon and marathon competitor from London, who also has autism. He considers autism to be his super-power, and even has the nickname “Super Sam.” Sam has his sights set on being the first black triathlete with autism to complete in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. In fact, thanks to Hoka and Ironman, Sam was awarded a wildcard spot in this year’s race. Sam sees autism as his advantage, and by his pursuit of becoming a world-class athlete, hopes to inspire those with autism to use athletics to grow their self esteem, their health, and their happiness. This episode, Dylan Taylor of ColoradoWeekendAthlete.com welcomes world class Triathlete, Sam Holness, as well as his father and trainer, Tony Holness.
