    The shadow of the Feminine “flow” and re- committing back to your dreams

    Have you ever noticed yourself:
    • Falling into victimhood (“poor me”)
    • Questioning “why me”?
    • Saying "I'm overwhelmed" or "I'm burnt out"
    • Thinking “I can’t do…”
    • Struggling to commit or re- commit to your dreams?

    This episode looks at a particular shadow theme of the Feminine: lethargy, or laziness. It can show up as a clinging to a victim story, falling into victimhood. In our nervous system, it can appear as a freeze state, what’s known as dorsal vagal shutdown, from Stephen Porges’s Polyvagal theory. In this state, we often feel tired, numb and disconnected from the world around us. It may show up as lack of ability to act or commit to anything; justified that we’re honouring our freedom to be in “flow”.

    We may be in this state for a long time, often getting physically sick or exhausted as a result. What we fail to recognise is that this is a story we are choosing to believe. In my next episode I'll share my practice around shaking (literally) myself out of this state.

    This episode addresses Trust vs. Fear.
    Fear is a disease of the mind. It takes away our power. It is insidious in nature and keeps us from moving towards what we want in life and deafes us to the call of our Soul and Heart's desires.

    So, how do we begin to move away from Fear and into Trust?
    Coming back to Trust begins with one thing: Acceptance. Full acceptance of the present moment. Even when it is the most difficult thing to face. Even when we want to deny and blame and run away from our reality. We cannot be in full trust without acceptance.

    In the second half I talk about Human Design and what I learnt from recently completing a Human Design certification.

    This episode talks to pleasures, desires and how scary and vulnerable it is to ask for what we want, even with friends and loved ones. I share what I’ve observed we, as humans in the western world, are craving around connection: to ourselves, to each other. I speak excitedly about my upcoming offering- a 4 week embodiment course.

    I touch on the fine threshold between pain and pleasure, through the lens of my experience with eczema and having high sensitivities. Finally, I speak to the difficulty of trying to connect with someone who is having very a different life experience to you and the grace of finding ‘bridges’ as a way to meet each other whilst remaining solid within yourself.
