About this listen

She, Who Wanders is a podcast for women who wander off-the-beaten-path in travel, and in life.  Hosted by Candice McCoy, a wife +  mom to two sets of twins, a writer + storyteller, deep thinker - well, overthinker at least - and apparently, now a podcaster;)

This is a show about pushing boundaries, embracing risks, and creating a vibrant existence that's true to our deepest values. Living outside the box means digging deep and connecting with our inner selves.

It means tuning out the noise of society and listening to the whispers of our souls.
I created this podcast to inspire you to take bold action and live life on your own terms. But thankfully we don't have to do it alone.

  • Reflecting on Season 1 of She, Who Wanders - Candice McCoy
    Aug 30 2023

After launching the She, Who Wanders series on my blog in the fall of 2022, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that these conversations needed space to go deeper.  And as I’m sitting here in awe that we’ve hit more than 1000 downloads, I realize I must not be the only one who felt that way.

Hundreds of women have been impacted by these stories - of resilience, creativity + determination to live life more freely and intentionally.  Those of us who have dreams and visions in our hearts that may seem a little (or a lot) crazy to the rest of the world, can absolutely chase those dreams on our own, but when we can see and hear from other women who are walking through fear + forging their own path, it becomes just a little easier…and more fun.

It’s still surreal to me to be wrapping up season one, but I wanted to pause and take a moment to reflect on the last 9 episodes and lift some of the key themes that emerged from this first season.  Some of my favorites are the importance of living out our values, prioritizing family time + slower living, nurturing mental well-being, moving through fear, and finding meaningful purpose to propel us forward in life. We also chatted about the impact of minimalism, the strength of community, and the significance of embracing what makes us feel most alive.

I hope you connect with and feel inspired by these as much as I have - I’m so grateful and excited to have you along as a part of this community. We’re in this together!

  • She, Who Chooses Faith + Centers Impact - Christina McEvoy
    Aug 16 2023

Today's guest has not only been a source of inspiration and so many tools for growth for me since I met her a few years ago, she has also built an incredible community of like minded women that has become a place of empowerment for myself and so many others. Christina is a wife, mom of two teen boys, and a three-time cancer survivor.

In 2016, she founded her company, Adventure Together, and the MaxxExplore Instagram account, where she is a full time travel creator, working with dozens of renowned brands and destinations all over the world. While inspiring and equipping families to travel and explore near and far. After selling everything and traveling Central and South America full-time starting in 2019, she also founded Insta Success, which is an online membership program that trains and empowers people to build profitable and sustainable travel brands on Instagram.

And if all of that wasn't enough, she also hosts group trips across the globe to destinations like Bali, Iceland, Fiji, and Costa Rica. She is seriously one of my biggest inspirations in travel, mom life, and business, and so much more.
