We sat down with our cousin Goldfish and talk about what it was like to join the service after becoming a husband, being a new father and serve with two close family members he grew up with. We talk a bit about going on training together and the farmers market too, the three of us run a fair amount of calls together so we already know he will be a returning guest at some point!

We sit down with Chief once again for a talk about PFAS and how he successfully switched all of his members to "Clean" Turnout Gear. We touch on some of the health effects and the road blocks he faced the last couple years.

Perfluoroalkyl or Polyfluoroalkyl substances, a group of chemicals that have properties that allow them to repel water, dirt, and oil and is known as a forever chemical. We encourage all listeners to do their own research on PFAS as there is more information and videos than we could ever cover in an episode.

As we continue our sit down with Chief and Goldilocks, the father/son duo each reflect on a memorable call. We begin to reminisce about some of the calls the four of us got to experience together in the past and touch on Goldilocks' plans for the future.

This week Deputy has a surprise topic for Cap; has she found it to be difficult being a woman in the service? We start off with talking a little about Cap's workplace and then turn to the fire service. While some of the answers may have been a little softer than what Deputy was expecting he left feeling a bit better that Cap hasn't had to experience some of the horrific situations we fully acknowledge other woman have to overcome.

Deputy and Cap sit down with a father and son firefighting duo that we have the privilege and pleasure of serving with. We discuss the sons first interior fire attack but then things get real as the conversation moves to the health risks all firefighters face as one of these men has seen the serious side of cancer surgery.

Deputy and Cap each discuss a big first memorable moment in their careers and what it was like to watch or listen knowing that sometimes you can't always help or be there for your sibling.

We also recall the other persons first from our own POV. Deputy had only live radio transmissions for Cap’s experience and Cap saw Deputy’s career first from a completely different approach.
