Today I'm speaking to Barky, who is a dear comerade of mine. I like to say that we fell into comeradeship like other people fall in love.
Like so many others in this last year, got to know each other on the streets, again and again and again. Their words and actions resonated in me with intensity and determination coming from a soft space.
October 7th 2023 marks a pivotal moment in history. The wall keeping the people of gaza from the rest of palestine is broken, Palestinian Paraglyders fly into the occupied land. It is a moment of Resistance that spurs hope and tears of joy in many palestinians.
The retaliation of the Zionist entity follows almost instantly. The genocidal violence is amplifid and presists until now, one year later.
October 7th changed the world in ways that we are yet to fully grasp. In this mini series we want to do our part in finding understanding through talking to the Palestinians within the movement about their experiences of october 7th and where it lead them. Shining light on the larger story through personal perspectives.
