S3 E2: There are places on this continent where the world still feels untouched. Places where the water lies flat as glass, and the trees crowd in so close they swallow your sense of direction. The Boundary Waters is one of those places — a maze of lakes and portages stretching between Minnesota and Canada.

During a ten‑day canoe trip in the summer of 1970, deep in the Boundary Waters wilderness, John — a Southern Fried Frights listener — came face‑to‑face with something he still struggles to explain. Out there among the black‑water lakes and endless pines, he encountered a creature we know today as Bigfoot.

S3: E1 In 1978, a 23‑year‑old college student named Steven Kubacki sets out on a solo cross‑country skiing trip near Lake Michigan. Two days later, search teams find his gear neatly placed at the edge of the ice, arranged like he stepped out of it on purpose. Footprints lead away from the gear and out onto the frozen lake… and then they just stop. No return tracks. No signs of a fall. No break in the ice. Just a clean line of prints that end in the middle of nowhere. Authorities say Steven must have fallen through the ice and drowned. But underneath that tidy explanation, there were details that didn’t sit right. There were undertones that hinted at something much bigger connected to Steven’s disappearance.

S2: E5 On March 11, 1876, the New York Times published a tongue-in-cheek article about an unusual weather event that had taken place on March 3rd at a farm in Bath County, Kentucky. A Mrs. Crouch while stirring her soap kettle in the yard experienced something so strange that it was almost beyond belief. The clear afternoon sky, unremarkable just moments before, began to rain down fragments of raw meat. It was as though nature had momentarily lost its senses.

The Kentucky Meat Shower remains one of the strangest unexplained events in Kentucky history! Tonight's story was inspired by the publication "The Carnal Rain" March 16, 1876, edition of the New York Daily Herald—writer unknown.

S2: E4 In Portland, Oregon, antique dealer Kevin Mannis picked up an old wine box at the estate sale of a 103-year-old Holocaust survivor. He's warned by the dead woman's granddaughter not to open the "Dybbuk Box”. But Kevin just had to open the box. Kevin's actions have terrible consequences; he unleashes a malevolent spirit.
