When you view intimate relations as being purely physical, you lose something incredibly important, magickal, and powerful. Human beings are not just meat suits with urges needing to be fulfilled. We are this weird and wonderful combination of incarnate (in-MEAT) and inspired (inSPIRIT).

The current overculture tells us that we can sleep with whomever we want, without much consequence, and nothing could be further from the truth. Coupling with another human being is a huge portal space, one that asks for respect and an understanding of it's spiritual significance.

The Universe is constantly speaking to us. And, as astrologer David Pond once said, it can come through something as mundane as your dishwasher.

I recently got the opportunity to test myself against the insidious energy of narcissism. It's an energy I've encountered a lot in my life, from diagnosable narcissists to the much more common victim of narcissism—who has then taken on these behaviors as a defence mechanism.

I include myself in that. For years I excelled at manipulation, without even realising what I was doing. Just feeling helpless and hopeless and knowing that “this is the way to act”, because that's the way I'd been shown to act.

So, healing, healing, healing. And bit by bit my own behaviours shifted. But I still struggled with navigating boundaries and needs with others who were taken by this energy. By this devil.

This episode is a story of how I faced this energy, but refused to play the game the way I'd been playing for years. And then something really unexpected happened…

Ahhhh boundaries, why do you have to feel so bad?!

While it DOES get easier to set boundaries, at the beginning it's like pulling your arm off in an effort to just get a little space. Painful, with instant regret, and the results are generally less than stellar.

Why does this happen? Aren't we SUPPOSED to set boundaries? Isn't this the healthy thing? 

Yes. And.

Yes, it's healthy, AND it's like trying to put a car in reverse when it's barrelling down the highway. If you've seen any Fast & Furious movie you know that maneuver could end in a giant, fiery, explosions-on-all-sides-and-halfway-down-the-road crash.
