• Schenectady Shares kicks off 30/30 campaign

    The Stan and Shen Show was on the road, stopping in at the St. Luke Daily Bread Pantry before a lunchen attended by several of the organizations that make up Schenectady Shares, and benefit from the organization's buying and distribution power.

    Guests this week included Larry Lewis, President, Concern for the Hungry; Macella Dietz, Treasurer, St. Luke's Daily Bread Pantry, Schenectady County legislator, and Schenectady Shares co-chair Mike Aragosa and Jacqueline Clute, Executive Director of the St. Luke's Daily Bread Food Pantry.

    Each guest provided their own special insight to food insecurity within Schenectady County and the importance of the Schenectady Shares program as it prepared to kick off its 2026 campaign, 'Neighbors Helping Neighbors' to gain 30,000 pounds of food and $30,000 for the organization through mid-April.

    But he will still have his hand in Soup Stroll.... Lots of cooks in the kitchen this week!

    Chedrawee offers insight into what goes into a winning soup, how he judges soup for his own take on Soup Stroll this year, with his staff and the gang had fun with all of the entries coming up Jan. 31.

  • The Mystery of Edwin Drood takes center stage at SLOC and the podcast studio

    Stan and Shen kick off the 2026 podcast season with real talent - director Brian Clemente and actor Cameron Clarke Stevens, who present 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' to the Schenectady Light Opera Company next week.

    A well-known fact was that it is a Charles Dickens novel that was left unfinished due to his death, but the playwright, Rupert Holmes, yes, that Rupert Holmes, was a shock to Stan.

    The addition of being an audience participation play also thrilled the co-hosts.

    The guests explain the show's background, premise, and their work bringing it together this month.

    They also provide lots of laughs, phenomenal examples of British accents, which Shenan fails at miserably.

    The show is heading towards a new tag line for Stan, courtesy of Cameron Clarke Stevens - so stay tuned.

    The Daily Gazette offered a glimpse of the upcoming performance.

  • Holiday Parade recap, Birthdays and Small Business Saturday

    It was a whirlwind week for Stan Hudy and Shenandoah Briere, who were at the 1st stage along the Schenectady County Holiday Parade route Saturday, providing commentary for the Facebook Live stream on The Daily Gazette's website.

    Last Friday was Stan's birthday, on Monday it was Shenan's, and they talked about her birthday...

    The duo recapped the parade, the lights, the sirens, the pace of the parade, and everyone who worked hard to make it happen - along with a Hallmark moment with Santa and his float.

    Then it was back to business - Saratoga Black Friday and Small Business Saturday with Shenan talking about all the things Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp is doing to support small businesses.

    Shenan says she is prepared for her Turkey Trot 5k....we'll see.

    And Thanksgiving thoughts to all.

[MOPCO] in Schenectady and how to keep the laughs coming.

    Burns and Koppett discuss some of the guidelines within the IMPROV community that make it an enjoyable and enlightening experience to be on stage and be totally unscripted.

    November also kicks off 'Birthday Month' for both Stan and Shen —mostly Shen —and she has a heartfelt ask of all podcast listeners for this year's gift.
