In this episode of Stream Machine, I interviewed SethTheHex. He's a random streamer I raided playing Marvel Snap and I stuck around. He's intelligent, opinionated, loves Pokemon, board and card games, retro consoles, indie games, reacting to things, and playing games with his community. I relate to him because we grew up in similar socioeconomic statuses so we obtained games in similar ways such as through rentals. As you'll learn, he's a variety streamer in many senses of the word. In this episode, I interviewed zanian_. I've followed him on Twitch for around 2.5 years. Originally, He visited Germany for an exchange program. After he returned to Canada, he decided he wanted to move there while he worked on his master's in linguistics, but now, so it sounds like he's there to stay. He's been very determined to get the world record for a speedrun of the Super Mario World kaizo hack called Storks, Apes, and Crocodiles by Morsel. He talks about why Morsel's hack was influential, different qualities of beer since he's studying beer brewing, and his study and interests in comparative literature. It's a really interesting episode and longer than usual and to be honest, that's largely because zanian_ is both opinionated but also good at going into detail. In this episode, I interviewed DrLeandra. She's an RPG streamer. Originally, I met her through KansaiMarc which is another streamer I interviewed for this podcast. I found her story interesting because all the way up to high school, her main source of recreation was physical activity and she was very studious. It wasn't until she was an adult that she started gaming. I think that's great because it meant she kept and open mind, she tried it, and kept going with it. NikDudeN7 first met me indirectly via a BarbarousKing raid. If BarbarousKing is not the biggest Kaizo SMW streamer he was one of the biggest and I won the raid lottery on that one. Nik came in with that raid and I've known him and watched his stream for almost 2 years now, so I thought it'd be cool to interview Nik. You'll find out about all the cool retro games he played, how he got sucked into Halo during university, what influenced him to play SMW Kaizo, and the simple silly stuff he does with his stream. I met gorpo_c through a streamer that we both watched. We initially both met in their chat, that streamer raided them, and from there I followed Gorpo and I'm a regular in his stream now. Gorpo and I discuss the videogames he has fondest memories of, the game spectating event that initiated his interest in streaming, and how streaming is just a constant evolutionary process.

Der & DasTebbers stream on the same channel. They first started on YouTube around 10 years ago but eventually moved to Twitch as it was transitioning form Justin.tv. Der started the channel but then Das jumped along for the ride because she couldn't suffer Der's gameplay in Streets of Rage any longer. In this episode, I interviewed KansaiMarc. He loves to perform both musically and on Twitch. Marc and his wife traveled to Japan because they love to explore and have been there for 4 years and they'll be there indefinitely until they decide to move somewhere else. Because they love being kind of pushed out of their comfort zone in that way, I believe Marc is a very adaptable person and that's a great personality trait to have.
