About this listen

Warnings for spoilers and mature content DO YOU LIKE SCARY MOVIES? We know you do, and so do we! We are Glenn and Jess, besties and drive-in mutants, with a shared passion for the macabre, the grotesque and the ridiculous. When you’re home alone on those dark and stormy nights, we’ll let you know where you can tune in and find a chill to run up your spine. Every month we’ll watch and discuss two horror movies that you can watch at home, alone or with that special someone or someTHING. We connect deeply with horror movies, which is a little disturbing if you think about it. So, we go off on plenty of tangents, side chats and rants along the way, before passing our final judgments and letting you know where you can find these terrifying treasures. What kind of horror movies do we cover? Why, anything you can stream! From the dawn of Hollywood to today. From the grindhouse to the arthouse, from slashers to found footage, from serial killers to haunted houses, and from comedy to the truly deranged, if it’s on the net for you, it’s on the slab for us. We’ll unleash new episodes on the 1st Thursday of every month, so please, enter freely, of your own will, and leave some of the happiness you bring. JOIN US.Copyright 2024 All rights reserved. Art

  • The Blackcoat's Daughter - Streaming Screams Episode 36: Forever Alone
    Jan 15 2026
    Forever Alone

Osgood Perkins has been killing it lately, so we thought we'd go back and revisit his first film:

    THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER

A stark, bleak, and sometimes challenging movie that Jess had been harassing Glenn to watch for years, so you KNOW we had stuff to say about it. Also, we take a slightly different approach to our podcast format.

And we get pretty wild along the way. Jess informs us what percentage of sheep are gay. We live up to the stereotype of Americans and geographical knowledge. Glenn gets unreasonably angry at the Stranger Things finale. We actually get into politics and the current situation in the US, and we compare and contrast Osgood Perkins with David Lynch. All of this with a new format focusing much more on how we feel about a film and dialing back what happens in the film. All on this wild episode of STREAMING SCREAMS!

  • BONUS: Discussion on new music
    Jan 13 2026

Here's a bonus clip of Glenn and Jess discussing music, particularly new music. This was cut from our discussion of The Signal.

We thought it was a fun clip, but ran longer than our usual diversions and didn't fit the rest of the episode, but it's still a fun chat and we thought you should have the option to hear it!
