About this listen
Laura and Darren discuss crime writing, orangutans, and how they would approach writing for Australian Crime Writers’ Association’s “Louie Award”.
The “Louie Award” is now open for submissions of crime fiction of less than 500 words with the theme “Locked”. This competition is exclusive to members of ACWA, but membership fees are very reasonable ($20). Entry fee ($5) and the winning story will receive $750. Closes 30th December.
Darren’s short story, “The Purloined Pachyderm”, was published by Mystery Weekly in their 2021 anthology ‘Die Laughing”. A list of all other referenced media, plus a transcript, can be found at https://lefttowritetoday.com/episode-1/.
