  • 3: A Grown Woman's Battle in a Little Girl's Body: Part 3 What Broke Me, Built Me
    Jan 4 2026

In this deeply personal episode of Suddenly Infertile, I open up about the experiences that shaped me. From my college years to my first marriage, divorce, and the devastating loss of my father, this episode traces the emotional groundwork that made my diagnosis feel like both a breaking point and a revelation.

This is a story about growing up too fast in a body that couldn’t keep up. About grief layered on grief. About trying to be strong while quietly unraveling. And about realizing that infertility doesn’t begin at a diagnosis—it often shows up after years of survival, loss, and unanswered prayers.

We also spill some necessary tea: infertility discrimination is illegal. Just like pregnancy, infertility is protected under federal law, and employees undergoing fertility treatment have rights to reasonable accommodations at work. If you believe you are experiencing infertility discrimination, you can learn more and file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC):

  • 2: A Grown Woman's Battle in a Little Girl's Body: Part 2 The Day My Body Went Quiet
    Dec 7 2025

What happens when the world keeps moving, but your body suddenly falls silent? In Part 2 of A Grown Woman’s Battle in a Little Girl’s Body, I open up about the moment everything shifted, the day my body went quiet. This episode explores the confusion, the fear, and the faith it took to navigate a change I never saw coming.

I’m sharing the questions no one prepared me to ask, the strength I didn’t know I had, and the way that silence can become a turning point instead of an ending. If you’ve ever felt unheard by your own body, this story is for you.

This journey is raw, vulnerable, and full of hope. Because sometimes, what feels like a shutdown is actually the beginning of understanding.

  • 1: A Grown Woman's Battle in a Little Girl's Body: Part 1 of My Story
    Nov 19 2025

In the very first episode of the Suddenly Infertile Podcast, DaMarra Chanel opens up about the early years of her journey long before doctors, diagnoses, or even the language to explain what was happening. As a little Black girl, her body was doing things that didn’t quite match her age, and nobody around her really knew why.

This is Part 1 of her story, where the seeds of her infertility journey were planted, even though she didn’t know it yet. She’s pulling back the curtain gently, inviting you into the moments that shaped everything that came next without giving it all away just yet.

And in “Sis, What’s the Tea?”, DaMarra breaks down what’s going on politically with IVF right now what you need to know, how it could impact our options to build families, and why we cannot afford to ignore it.
