Arnie has been invited to a party that his wife's company is throwing but he's got some anxiety about it because he knows he's not funny and no one enjoys his company very much.  So he gets into a day camp to learn how to chuckle, which results in an unexpected reunion with his estranged sister and some unsavory allegations from the idiots out there.

Deep in the basement bowels of a water company, I rambled along doing a job in pressed overalls that no one else really wanted to do, which was to shine the muck and filth off of pipes so that you could see your funhouse reflection in them and that water could shoot through them up to thirsty people.  But basically like a little grasshopper man intent on dancing gets in my head too much and interrupts lunchtime, triggering a recollection that is emotional.

A mysterious encounter with a boy later leads him to believe that maybe things aren't quite as they seem and the boy also has thoughts about his uncle's beer.
