• (Substituting) When Students Know There Are No Consequences!
    May 27 2026

In this episode of TK’s A-Brigade, TK steps into the unfiltered reality of substitute teaching—where structure shifts the moment the regular teacher is out. From unpredictable classroom behavior to the growing challenge of student accountability, this episode explores what really happens when consistency walks out of the door and respect becomes optional.

With candid insight and real-world frustration mixed with reflection, TK breaks down the patterns that make sub days some of the most difficult environments in education today. It’s not just about managing a classroom—it’s about navigating a culture where expectations often clash with reality, and where every day can feel like starting from scratch.

This episode pulls no punches, offering both honesty and perspective on what it means to stand in the gap in a system that doesn’t always hold the line.

    TK’s A-Brigade Podcast (Featuring Shay)

In this episode of TK’s A-Brigade Podcast, TK is joined by Shay for a powerful conversation about stepping outside the familiar and experiencing a major shift in atmosphere—from Denver, Colorado to the streets of New York and the historic energy of Boston.

What began as a trip quickly became something deeper. Leaving Denver’s more open, laid-back environment, TK found himself stepping into New York—a place that felt like a completely different dimension. The pace, the pressure, the movement, and the history all hit at once. From Harlem to the heart of the city, there was an undeniable intensity that sharpened awareness and challenged perspective.

Then came Boston—another shift entirely. Where New York felt fast and relentless, Boston carried a more grounded, structured, and reflective energy. It felt like entering yet another dimension—one rooted in history, discipline, and thoughtfulness. Together, TK and Shay unpack how moving between these cities revealed how deeply environment impacts mindset, emotions, and even spiritual awareness.

This episode isn’t just about travel—it’s about transformation. It’s about recognizing how stepping outside your everyday surroundings can expose new truths, stretch your thinking, and challenge how you see the world and yourself.

    Mar 6 2026

    Podcast Summary – TK’s A Brigade Podcast
In today’s episode, I share a conversation I had with my daughter about a young man in her class reciting the Hail Mary prayer. Our discussion led to exploring biblical insights and reflections on Christian traditions, including the origins of Easter, the purpose of Lent, and the true meaning behind Christmas compared to how the world celebrates it. Join me as we dive into faith, tradition, and the deeper significance of the celebrations that shape our Christian walk.#SocialAwareness

  • -Animals or mis understood kids ?
    Mar 3 2026

In this latest episode of TK's A Brigade Podcast, TK gets real about what many adults are noticing but few are saying out loud — the growing issue of disrespect, lack of discipline, and outright rudeness from today’s generation of kids. From personal encounters to broader cultural observations, this episode doesn’t hold back on addressing the frustration many teachers, mentors, and adults are experiencing.

Titled “Animals or Misunderstood Kids,” the episode goes beyond surface-level criticism. TK challenges listeners to think deeper: Are these kids truly “bad,” or are they misunderstood, misdirected, and lacking consistent leadership and structure? Is this a discipline issue, a parenting issue, or a cultural shift we’re all contributing to?

This is an honest, passionate, and thought-provoking conversation that calls for accountability — not just from young people, but from adults, communities, and leaders who help shape them.

  • Career Paths What is yours?
    Jan 15 2026

    www.theadvocatebrigade.com

It’s a brand new year, and with it comes the start of a new career path. In this episode, TK reflects on what it really means to have a career—or to be on a career path at all. For some people, that path is clear from a young age. For others, it takes years to discover, and sometimes it unfolds in ways they never expected. Many find themselves in careers they didn’t plan on, only to realize they genuinely enjoy the work and the direction it’s taken them.

This conversation explores those different journeys and the idea that there’s no single “right” timeline when it comes to figuring out what you want to do. TK shares where they currently are in their own journey—standing at the beginning of something new, looking ahead, and reflecting on how experience, timing, and unexpected opportunities shape our professional lives. This episode is about growth, change, and embracing the uncertainty that often comes with starting over or stepping into a new chapter.

  • Why do Christians REALLY celebrate Christmas
    Dec 24 2025

In my most recent podcast episode, I explore why Christians really celebrate Christmas—and I challenge the version of the story most of us have grown up accepting. I share my personal perspective and what I believe the Holy Spirit has revealed to me about the origins of many Christmas traditions we now treat as sacred or harmless.

I wrestle with the question of whether Christmas, as it’s currently practiced, is truly about celebrating the birth of Jesus—or whether it has slowly become something else entirely. I examine how cultural traditions, consumerism, and constant messaging have reshaped the holiday, and I ask whether what we celebrate today aligns with what we think we’re celebrating.

I also touch on a more uncomfortable idea: whether modern Christmas functions as a kind of mass indoctrination, subtly conditioning us—through technology, algorithms, and economic pressure—to spend, consume, and conform, rather than reflect, worship, and discern. Is this merely coincidence, or is there a system at work that benefits from distraction and excess?

This episode isn’t about giving definitive answers—it’s about asking better questions, inviting discernment, and encouraging listeners to step back and honestly examine their hearts, their traditions, and the spirit behind what they celebrate each year.

  • What age is to young for kids to start sports??
    Dec 9 2025

In this episode, I dive into the question of when kids should really start playing sports—and more importantly, when it’s actually healthy to push them competitively. I talk about how a lot of children only play because they want to please their parents, while others genuinely love the competition and want to win. I compare the differences between those motivations and break down the contrast between encouragement and pressure. Ultimately, I’m asking: at what age is it truly appropriate to start shaping kids into competitive athletes, and how do we know when they’re ready?
