In this episode I speak with Maximin Chapuis a French watchmaker and horologist who is passionate about conservation and restoration and the history of time measurement. He grew up in Besançon, a small city in east of France near the Swiss border, spending many happy hours at the Time Museum where his love of horology and decision to become a watchmaker was born. In this episode I speak with Rebecca Struthers, an award-winning designer, watchmaker, and historian; Rebecca is half of the founding husband and wife team behind Struthers Watchmakers. Born and raised in Birmingham, Rebecca was just 17 when she set out on her path to becoming one of Britain’s leading watchmakers. Initially training as a jeweller and silversmith with a passion for creating complex pieces of articulated jewellery; she soon found a way to combine her passion for craft with her love of science in the pursuit of horology.

In this episode I speak with Inga Duffy-Shorokova, Director of Marketing at Alexander Shorokhoff and Poljot-International. Inga graduated as a fashion designer where she demonstrated her creativity. After this she spent time in Milan studying marketing and luxury goods management. Having been exposed to the luxury market, it was at this time she decided to become involved with the watch industry, when she joined her father, Alexander Shorokhov’s manufacture.
