Esme, the barmaid of Juniper's Bar, sings in the infamous Magrape's on Porlondra - Level 34 under her stage name Lucy Diamond, then has her second date with Viktor.

Viktor struggles with Marquell's capture and indulges in a spontaneous Syrrix revelry with Pascal. Mo Cha-Cha Bao calls the banners of 47 China to aid in the rescue mission for Marquell, forming the Nova War Room. Viktor requests help from an old friend.

Marquell has to adjust to his cryptobraceless life as a foreverer and it proves difficult when he is reassigned to palm plumbing for the Qizik, and the queen palm tree 'shalla' catches fire in a storm. The Qizik also has a secret hidden in the oasis.

Viktor and Pascal collect Novadust materials on Syrrix - Level 18, in preparation for a presentation with Mo Cha-Cha Bao, when Viktor takes a liking to a new face. Events transpire and 47 China's tension with Turit Imis escalates to dangerous heights when the Unsung House receives a surprise gift.

Marquell awakes in the clay clay house, still trapped and rejected by the other foreverers, when the mysterious mirage men arrive. Zalas Mordid returns with the news of Marquell's false lineage, and suffers the consequences.

Marquell must now operate under the reign of Rhadid Konto on Turit Imis - Level 9. Pinky escorts him to the clay clay house where he meets the other foreverers. Meanwhile, Zalas Mordid visits the Unsung House on 47 China — the Bao household to instigate Marquell's supposed lineage, where he has a tense verbal showdown with the Dragon's Tongue in the talon garden.

The new Doom Dome season begins — Terminal 1 gladiators fight to the death on Level 66. The opening match is Doom Dome champion and jackie favourite Billy Basham. Viktor and Pascal spectate in the mid level stands, and Viktor bumps into an old friend from his days at the Engineer's Guild.
