"As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore" is a quote taken from Psalm 125 v 2 and there are parallels in the imagery between this and God's eyes being on his people and their Promised Land from the beginning of the year to the end of it (in Deuteronomy 11 v 12). • The Simple Language of Jesus Christ
    Jul 10 2026

The contemporary messaging and imagery used in the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit of our living God to create a very clear and unequivocal message for His audience. We see this for the people of Israel in Deuteronomy 11 v 10 - 12 and such communication tools are indicative of God's desire to pierce even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow. • Desperate People, Present God
    Jun 12 2026

Who is God speaking to in Deuteronomy 11 v 10 - 12? He is speaking to people He is inviting, encouraging and reminding to love Him. Our journeys in Christ do not always start with all the knowledge we need or all the love we can give. These journeys may not always end with all of both either. At any stage of our journey, desperation for our God always eventually finds a present and rewarding God. This is Episode 21 of Season 3. More at www.thatchristiannextdoor.com
