He enjoys hunting and fishing throughout Manitoba and at his family cottage near Kenora, Ontario. This upbringing inspired his passion for working with and managing the fisheries he values so deeply. Andrew enjoys targeting a wide variety of species, with favorites including Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, and Muskellunge. He is currently the Central Region Fisheries Biologist with Manitoba Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures, where he is part of the team responsible for managing Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba,

Gussy had a particularly tough year on the Bassmaster Elite Circuit in 2025. In fact, it was the first time he has not qualified for the Classic. He picked a bad time not to as it returns to Knoxville Tennessee where he won two Elite Events including the Classic in 2023. Jeff has had a good fall tournament season and some time at home has him looking forward to 2026!

    Alex is the Fish Culture Manager for the Province of Manitoba. She moved to Manitoba for school and has been ‘hooked’ ever since. She has a PhD in fish and shark physiology, with an emphasis on fish stress. She most recently served as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Winnipeg. Her post-doctoral work focused on the impacts of recreational angling on maternal stress in lake trout and walleye. The study was designed to find out catch and release and angling during the spawn affects offspring. The final data is pending but maternal stress seems to change the stress response
