The final show before Election 2024 features broadcasting legend and longtime Donald Trump friend Geraldo Rivera, who tells us why he’s voting for VP Harris. Geraldo is a loving husband and dad, loyal friend, fierce enemy, patriot, kick-ass reporter, and proud JewRican. He's also an attorney welcomed into the Inner Sanctum of Craig's Lawyers' Lounge.

Geraldo's father was Puerto Rican. Geraldo was pissed at the Madison Square Garden Event in the heart of his NYC. Geraldo is a loyal friend but more faithful to the Constitution. Like Liz Cheney, he's stood up to MAGA and reaped the whirlwind. Geraldo Rivera risked his life many times and discusses mortality.

We are delighted mid-way to be joined by Erica Rivera, Geraldo’s brilliant, fun, and youthful wife, who explains how she turned down dinner at Mar-A-Lago for good reasons. Learn what she thought of her husband's FNC colleagues. And how she's got her hubby's back.

The Rivera family recently lost Geraldo’s beloved older sister, Irene Rivera Hurst, at 83. Before she passed, Irene voted for VP Harris and saw her little brother Geraldo do the same. Irene was an extraordinary wife and mother. Geraldo revered his accomplished, compassionate, loving, and kind sister.

Learn about Geraldo’s breaking points with his friend Trump. Go behind the scenes at Mar-A-Lago and the Fox News Channel. Geraldo Rivera was in the belly of the beast, and fate has made him an essential influencer in the most important election of all time.

Who better to ask about Trump’s fascination with mobster Al Capone than Geraldo? Was the firing squad threat on Liz Cheney mobsterism? Will it cause people to vote in droves against Trump? Or just the opposite? The host is confident of the VP's victory, but Geraldo is more skeptical.

Troubadour Dave Gunders persuasively argues that Kamala and Tim should get your vote on his birthday, Nov. 5. Gunders appreciates his close Hispanic bandmate/friend, T Valladares, for whom he wrote this week’s song, "My Ska Brother." It could apply to Geraldo's friendship, too.

  • Episode 239 - Wellington Webb
    Oct 26 2024

    Rundown -

    Intro - 00:35

    Wellington Webb - 10:33

    Troubadour Dave Gunders - 01:11:24

"Can I Ask for Everything?" by Dave Gunders - 01:27:08

    Outro - 01:33:15

Wellington Webb came to Denver as an 11-year-old asthmatic but soon became a Colorado legislative leader, Denver’s elected Auditor, and then Denver’s strong and successful three-term Democratic mayor (1991-2003).

Just back from Nevada, where he went door-to-door for Kamala Harris, Mayor Webb gives his insights on problems Kamala Harris will have to overcome to win over some voters, including too many women who won’t vote for a female.

A champion doorknocker, Mayor Webb recalls his 42-day-and-night walk through Denver that won him the election in 1991. Channel Nine and East High debates against late Denver DA Norm Early were decisive in 1991, and the debate victor, Mayor Webb, reviews highlights with pleasure.

Former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb recalls three major Denver protests and how he handled the civil unrest. He reviews and critiques Trump’s authoritarian threats to quell civil demonstrations. But what about the Constitution? That was always Mayor Webb’s touchstone.

Denver’s Nuggets are off to a rocky start, possibly related to Russell Westbrook. Mayor Webb laments the loss of KCP, and Uncle Jeff Green's departure caused the Nuggets to slide last season. The out-of-state pro sports owners of Colorado franchises are critiqued.

Mayor Webb is unhappy with Denver's current feelings and conditions. He gives a frank assessment of problems (e.g., 16th Street Mall) in the Mile High City and explains the essentials of bringing a swagger back to the capital city of Colorado.

Troubadour Dave Gunders provides his entertaining song "Can I Ask for Everything?" How about the Democrats win the Presidency, Senate, and House? How will the women of America react to this threat to their autonomy?

The host describes his feelings after a swing state tour of Georgia (MLK Center) and North Carolina. The capitulation of WaPo and LA Times to MAGA is discussed and ripped. This is how fascism does its damage. We keep going. Electoral tension builds with voting well underway.

Superstar Colorado lawyer and former longtime Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett enters the Inner Sanctum of Craig’s Lawyers’ Lounge to discuss current events. He views it all from the sensational new Colorado law firm he just formed, Garnett Powell Maximon Barlow & Farbes.

Stan Garnett is an active trial lawyer who won an award for representing Dominion Voting Systems during Trump’s 2020 Big Lie, garnering the Steve Farber Award from his old firm. We talk about MTG’s outrageous claim on Alex Jones that Dominion is fixing GA votes now in 2024.

Trump’s behavior is increasingly fascist, and we discuss the threat, especially as it relates to the thoroughly Trump-defamed and victimized Paul Pelosi. Now, the would-be dictator again threatens an octogenarian home invasion attempted homicide victim.

Stan Garnett has also recently represented Aurora apartment owners who wanted better reactions from Aurora Police, but he disputes that Venezuelan street gangs took over apartment buildings. The former Boulder DA responds to Trump’s over-the-top Colorado rhetoric and exaggerations.

We discuss the sad situation where the FBI and White House blocked meaningful follow-up on sexual assault allegations against Justice Kavanaugh. Garnett stands by the credibility of the vital accuser, his client, Deb Ramirez. Listen as Stan Garnett addresses his critics in the media.

Troubadour Dave Gunders brings us his classic crime story song, "Billy B and the Fair Skinned Girl." We also discuss the host’s encounter with former US Acting AG Sally Yates at a Thursday Lawyers for Harris fundraiser in downtown Denver.
