The largest demonstration of that race was on the first Earth Day, April 22 1970 when "20 million Americans — at the time, 10% of the total population of the United States — [took] to the streets, parks and auditoriums to demonstrate against the impacts of 150 years of industrial development which had left a growing legacy of serious human health impacts." This year, on March 28 the second largest demonstration in history consisting of some 8 million souls returned to the streets on #NoKings Day 3, not just in support of the planet being plundered by the MAGA freak show but also in protest of that fascist freak show and its horrific agenda.
