  • Daily Devotional: Wave on Wave
    Feb 3 2026

There’s a country song by Pat Green called "Wave on Wave". It doesn’t quote Scripture or name Jesus - yet somehow tells a story every believer recognizes.

It’s the story of being overwhelmed. Pulled under. Running out of strength.

    And then - unexpected rescue.

In this episode, we explore how God often meets us not by calming the waves, but by being present in them. Sometimes grace doesn’t arrive as a miracle. Sometimes it arrives quietly… wave on wave.

    Key Themes

    • God doesn’t promise calm seas - He promises His presence
    • Grace is often recognized in hindsight
    • Rescue doesn’t always feel dramatic in the moment
    • God frequently works through ordinary means: people, words, songs
    • Jesus didn’t stop the storm - He stepped into death itself to save us

    Scripture for Today

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” - Isaiah 43:2

    Reflection

Most of us don’t recognize grace while we’re drowning.

We just know we’re tired. We just know we’re barely staying afloat. We just know we need help.

And later - only later - we realize: That wasn’t luck. That wasn’t timing. That was rescue.

The song asks, “Am I the one you were sent to save?”

The gospel answers: Someone was sent. And He didn’t just step into the water - He walked into death itself so the waves wouldn’t get the final word.

    Today’s Challenge

    Today, look back.

Identify one moment you survived that you couldn’t have on your own. One season where you were barely holding on. One rescue you didn’t recognize at the time.

Then thank God for it - out loud.

Because grace doesn’t always arrive with a miracle. Sometimes it arrives wave on wave… until you realize you’re still standing.

  • Daily Devotional: Faith Is a Practice, Not a Plan
    Feb 2 2026

Most of us have good spiritual goals.

We want to pray more. Read the Bible more. Trust God more.

But growth doesn’t come from intention alone—it comes from repetition.

In today’s episode, we explore why faith isn’t built on big plans, but on small, consistent practices. Jesus didn’t call us to try harder—He called us to follow Him daily, in rhythm and obedience.

This devotional challenges us to look honestly at the systems shaping our lives and invites us to trade good intentions for faithful habits.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Why goals alone don’t produce spiritual growth
    • How Jesus modeled a life of faithful rhythms
    • The difference between intention and transformation
    • Why consistency matters more than intensity

Scripture for Today: Proverbs 21:5 — “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance.”

Today’s Challenge: Choose one small, repeatable spiritual rhythm today— a short prayer, a few verses of Scripture, or a quiet moment with God. Do it today… and then do it again tomorrow.

    Spiritual growth isn’t accidental—it’s cultivated.

Thanks for listening today. And remember—stand firm and walk humbly with the Lord. That’s the Hall way.

  • Daily Devotional: Closer to Heaven or Hell?
    Jan 30 2026

Is this life all there is?

In today’s daily devotional, we reflect on a sobering but hope-filled truth: for believers, this broken world is the closest to hell we will ever experience— and for those without Christ, it may be as close to heaven as it gets.

This episode invites listeners to examine how they’re living now in light of eternity. Pain, loss, and confusion are temporary for those in Christ—but the choices we make today echo forever.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why suffering doesn’t get the final word for believers
    • How eternity is shaped by surrender, not comfort
    • What it means to live with urgency without fear
    • A simple daily challenge to reframe your priorities

Scripture for Today: Revelation 21:4 — “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…”

Today’s Challenge: Before making decisions today—big or small—ask yourself: Does this matter for eternity?

Thanks for listening today. And remember—stand firm and walk humbly with the Lord. That’s the Hall way.
