  • Episode 7: What Really Happened This Fall and Winter
    Jan 23 2026

We start by recapping our recent trip back home to Wisconsin to visit family. There’s something, simply put, special about returning to where you came from, especially when you’re building a very different kind of life now. We talk about the joys of being back with loved ones, the slower moments that filled our cups, and the reflections that always seem to come from stepping away from daily routines.

From there, we shift into what’s ahead for our homestead. We share some of the projects we’re dreaming up, the plans taking shape, and how we’re trying to balance ambition with realism in this season. Whether it’s land, food, animals, or simply creating a more intentional home, we talk honestly about what excites us — and what feels a little daunting too.

We also spend time talking about how homeschooling has been going so far. What’s working, what’s been challenging, and how we’re learning to trust the process instead of chasing perfection. This part of the conversation is especially for anyone navigating alternative education, questioning the conventional path, or just trying to figure out what works best for their family.

This episode is less about having everything figured out and more about sharing where we are right now — learning as we go, adjusting when needed, and building a life that aligns with our values.

  • Episode 6: Marriage and Relationships—Hot Takes...Part 1
    Oct 18 2025

In this episode, we’re diving into some hot takes that might ruffle a few feathers—or at least spark some good conversation. Join us as we unpack our real, unfiltered opinions on everything from homeschooling to married life dynamics.

We kick things off by sharing our recent journey into homeschooling—what led us there, what surprised us, and why it’s working (or not!) for our family. Whether you’re considering it or just curious, we’re pulling back the curtain on what this transition has looked like.

Next up: combining bank accounts in a relationship. Necessary or outdated? We share what’s worked for us, what didn’t, and the money mindset shifts that changed our path forward for the better.

We also tackle the big question: Should your spouse be your best friend? Whether you agree or not, we think you'll find our take worth while. And speaking of surprises, we chat about the growing trend of sleeping in separate beds—a good idea or relationship red flag?

This episode is full of laughs, honest takes, and maybe a few “did they really just say that?” moments. Whether you agree or disagree, we hope it gets you thinking and talking with your own partner or friends. Looking forward to hearing your feedback across our social media accounts!

  • Episode 5: Late Night Thoughts on a Broken World
    Sep 15 2025

In this late-night episode, we've taken a less formal, more off-the-cuff approach — just Britt and I in conversation, reflecting in real time quite literally in our bed. We open up about the rising tensions we’re seeing in our country — from the recent assassination surrounding Charlie Kirk, a targeted political killing seeking to silence the voice of reason, civil discourse, and political dissent. We also dive into the broader sense of division and unrest that seems to be growing louder every day.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, cynical, or even hopeless when violence dominates headlines and anger seems to fuel every debate. But in this moment of raw honesty, we return to what anchors us: our faith in Jesus Christ. We talk about how we process these events through the lens of Scripture, the importance of discernment in the noise of culture, and how we keep our hearts soft while staying grounded in truth.

This episode isn’t polished or planned — and that’s the point. It’s a real conversation about heavy things, shared in the spirit of peace, faith, and trust. Trust in each other, and most importantly, trust in the One who holds it all together.

So whether you're winding down your day or just need a reminder that you're not alone in the chaos, we invite you to listen in.

Charlie...we're grateful for your contribution to our great nation, and to furthering the message of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You carried more than your weight for your entire adult life...we're indebted to you and promise to only speak more boldly and loudly...carrying the flame that you ignited—continuing to be the salt and the light that we've been called to be.
